To make TorChat work with AdvOR you can use one of these 2 variants:

Variant 1 (TorChat is intercepted)

1. Download Torchat from http://code.google.com/p/torchat/downloads/list
2. Extract Torchat
3. Extract AdvOR
4. Delete TorChat's \Tor directory
5. Copy AdvOR.exe and AdvOR.dll to TorChat's \bin directory
6. Copy Help\TorChat\AdvOR.ini to TorChat's \bin directory
7. If you want to rename AdvOR to "Start TorChat.exe" you must also rename AdvOR.dll to "Start TorChat.dll" and AdvOR.ini to "Start TorChat.ini"
8. Start AdvOR
9. Click on AdvOR's system tray icon and go to the "Hidden services" page; select the onion address and copy it to clipboard (Ctrl+C)
10. Right click the TorChat window and from the context menu select "Settings ..."
11. Paste at "Own TorChat-ID" the .onion address you copied from AdvOR and click "Ok"; remove the ".onion" suffix
12. Exit AdvOR; this will also close TorChat
13. Start AdvOR again


Variant 2 (Tor.exe is replaced with AdvOR)

1. Download Torchat from http://code.google.com/p/torchat/downloads/list
2. Extract Torchat
3. Extract AdvOR
4. Copy AdvOR.exe, AdvOR.dll and Help\TorChat\torrc.txt to TorChat's \Tor directory (when you're asked if you want to overwrite tor.exe and torrc.txt click "Yes")
5. Delete tor.exe and rename AdvOR.exe to tor.exe and AdvOR.dll to tor.dll
6. Start TorChat.exe
7. Click on AdvOR's system tray icon and go to the "Hidden services" page; select the onion address and copy it to clipboard (Ctrl+C)
8. Right click the TorChat window and from the context menu select "Settings ..."
9. Paste at "Own TorChat-ID" the .onion address you copied from AdvOR and click "Ok"; remove the ".onion" suffix
10. Right click the TorChat window and from the context menu select "Quit" (the "Close" button only hides the window, it doesn't close the application)
11. Start TorChat.exe
